Julane Lund Plays a Norwegian Pols Tune on Fiddle. The name of the tune is "Snar aa ta opp" which means "Quick to take up." Julane learned the tune from fiddler Jens Nyplass in 2002. This pols is played in a region near Trondheim, Norway. As can be heard, the rhythm is an asymmetrical 3/4. The video was taken with a Kodak Z1015 IS digital camera (not a video camera). There is only one, tiny microphone on the camera, so sound quality would be improved with better microphones. Also, the sound waves have a tendency to bounce off of the ceramic floor tile in the room where this was recorded. Still, hope you enjoy the tune!
