  • Such a great song. I've been listening to Taj since I was a kid. My mom had some of his old records and I like them more now than I did back then. I'm going to see him live on Saturday night!!!

I have seen him a few times.. he is excellent . You will L O V E him even more! If you get a chance to see him with Buckwheat Zydeco .. by all means GO... WoW!!!!!

  • Saw him in New Orleans, late Sixties. Just Taj and his steel guitar. He came out, played a few tunes, then some jackass yelled out something he didn't like hearing. Taj played one more short tune, thanked everyone, glared hard at the jackass, and walked off. I didn't blame him, but I've hated that schmuck who yelled at him since.

  • Hi hat / snare hit sounds like a bottle breaking on a barrelhouse wall

  • Yes, he's still touring. I saw him a few weeks ago opening for Los Lobos. They should have opened for him. He is better than ever, 69 or 70 years old, a new album every few years. Saw him last year - May of 2010 in Peekskill NY. His daughters opened for him. As an opening act, he can only play a dozen songs or so, no encore. As the headliner, he played at least 2 dozen and really got into it. Although he's always into it

  • @chancesnan1 yup... i commented a few weeks ago: been wanting to see this great source of blues for many years. Sunday 8/22, we gonna see and hear him live as he teams up with Bob Dylan in lake tahoe (he opened for Dylan). dylan knows where a lotta of this kind of music comes from! ... heard he performs there every year :)
