Redefining Value

Not everything that is normally considered valuable actually is, in fact many times it can take away from our experience, making us more attached to the material world. We can and do create lots of negativity both for ourselves and our world in the pursuit of what normally is considered "valuable".

I believe its time to reevaluate and redefine what we collectively see as having value, realizing what really does add value to our lives is usually not material at all.

Great point. I guess perhaps one of the reasons we value the accumulation of material wealth is because we can physically see it, and not only that, but if our desires are linked towards material objects, all of our attention is focused on those desires, and it sort of creates this narrow thinking frame, where not enough of our cognition is used to focus on more important things like peace of mind or a meaningful existence. Hopefully that post wasn't too jumbled up ;)
