the DapKings are dedicated to the funk/soul sound. They record on analog tape rather than digital. So you are hearing period correct riffs, and audio quality that reminds you of old recordings. Their skills and dedication to quality recording are making you think you're hearing an old band, since this sound is abandoned by current labels, who produce poop.
