Magnets arranged in Halbach Array could work as a magnetic monopole. Connected together by active poles they're neutral to iron or magnets from other sides; connected by neutral poles they have the same active polarity on other sides. Very interesting possibilities...

  • Would you happen to know where I would be able to purchase these?

  • @Moose75528

    thks,

i believe you can make it

    cheers

  • @Mopozco how would i make it, i really could use some of them :P

  • @TheDMCstudios

    1. get some acrylic (plex) material and some cube magnets

    2. to the size of gotten magnets build a "channel", so 5 of them can get into it

    3. find what "halbach array" is (google) and place the mags in channel in this order

    4. let me khow it goes...

    cheers

  • Sir MOPO, i've been tempted to ask you what is an artificial monopole, and which is the best you have seen ?

  • @dan020350

practically these Arrays closest ones, but there're more researches on the way : "Researchers have created a structure that acts like a single pole of a magnet...", "Magnetic monopoles occurs in Nature only in form of black holes, which are exhibiting only one polar jet...", "monopoles could exist as short lived particles, but it would take a tremendous amount of energy to create them..."

    etc

    cheers

  • @Mopozco I see, so the best one you have seen is the one you* have created like what others seen in nature ( black hole ) and perhaps the journal abut spin ice. I am starting to understand universally, can you link me to one of those researchers ?

  • @seansalvador1

there's no such thing as a monopole in Nature, wake up man...

redirecting the field is not a shielding, the shielding is a dissipating the mag. field, not redirecting it; and no such material invented yet neither...

    man, you needa educate yourself…(lol)

  • @seansalvador1

No, it doesn't works like a shielded magnet, it works like a magnet with redirected field, or monopole…It's incredible that people without any understanding of magnets trying to judge work of others (lol)

  • @Mopozco

No it doesn't, it works like a shielded magnet... which it is. It's incredible that people would use highly tecnical words without even having the slightest clue as to their meaning.
