@sosuttle And what do i mean by TRUE DSM engine? It means the 4g63 coded engine block is the only time Mitsubishi and Chrysler (Mopar) joined together (DSM) ((Diamond Star Merger/motors)) to create and produce an engine. The 4g63 from the core is a combination of the minds of Mitsubishi, and Chrysler. (DSM) That is how a DSM is truly defined. DSM: Chrysler and Mitsubishi merger in the mid 1990's. This is why a Neon SRT-4 is NOT a DSM. it wasn't a "combined force" (DSM) produced vehicle.

@sosuttle Not in anyway is the A853 engine a Mitsubishi engine. In the Neon SRT-4. the A853 engine is Mopar produced, and the same engine is in the PT Cruiser GT. Only difference is the intake and exhaust manifold housings. The PT Cruiser GT engine code is: A855. Virtually the same. The 2.0L 420a engine used in the Neon Sport, R/T and many DSM Eclipse's from 1995-1999 is a Chrysler engine too. But, that engine has a similar brother the 2.0L 4G63 coded block. The 4G63 is the ONLY TRUE DSM engine.

@sosuttle Wow.. the 2.4 16V DOHC Turbochrged I-4 is a Chysler (Mopar) MADE AND DESIGNED power train. The Neon SRT-4 has the A853 coded block. That is a Chrysler engine code. It is NOT Mitsubishi! Only the TDO4-LR turbocharger is Mitsubishi. That is it. The engine is Chrysler, the whole damn car other than the turbo is Mopar. I have a Neon SRT, and i know what i am talking about here, bud. There is the DSM Mitsu stamp on the turbo exhaust manifold, the engine has the A853 code and Mopar 'star'

@sosuttle stfu . the srt4 uses a dohc 2.4 chrysler engine similar to the 420a chrysler engine found in the non turbo 2g dsm and dodge avengers. i should know because of the chrysler stamping on the cast iron block that ive seen countless times...
