PS2 Cd Conversion to DVD

Video on how to Change a CD Ps2 game to a DVD ps2 game (this method is for people using ESR)

The Dummy data file: The Data file must be around 1gig
type this into Command Prompt (as on video) : fsutil file createnew c:\z.z 1073741824

Step 1: Rip Iso using IMGBURN
Step 2: use CDMAGE to obtain the information about the cd (volume label/application/system id etc)
Then extract all the files on the disc to the desktop

Step 3: use DVDScan, select all the disc's files and it will scan all the files and change the nessasary ones!

Step 4: make a Dummy File(1GB) OR get it here:

Step 5: make ISO using IMGBURN

Step 6: Patch ISO using ESR patcher

Step 7: Burn ISO using IMGBURN

I burned the game and it loaded and i have a black screen with a blue border and it says cdromo:irx sio2man.irx version 1.2 and a bunch of illegible things

hi thanks for the vid. but.. 2 problems. first is, your dummy file should be called something like '0.0' (that's: zero.zero), as you want it to be the FIRST file burned on the dvd, and so the rest of the files are stored further towards the edge of the dvd, meaning the ps2 laser does not have to work so hard. second problem: when using DVDSCAN, if the cd files include some folders, you need to manually scan INSIDE these folders using dvdscan, otherwise dvdscan will skip (and not fix) them.

when i was making the ISO on imgburn, i put volume and application as PLAYSTATION

nothing else....

if i patch the game with these settings it should work rite?
