Great video as always, another question :) I always have them!

Why do we say Qing gei wo ni de, not just Qing gei ni de? What does the wo stand for in this sentence? Is it almost, Please get 'me' your Passport?

Thanks for any help, as I learn more I like to understand the structure more.
