http://www.vmware.com/switchtofusion - My computer of choice is a MacBook Pro. I used to use Apple Boot Camp to run Windows XP but I got fed up of restarting, so I switched to VMWare Fusion.

  • you have fall to the dark side

  • @mystarwarstv I apologise Obe Wan Kenobi.

  • Where is the Windows programme stored? in the mac or externally or on the boot camped side of your mac?

  • @dasmonkeyman In a preset virtual disk on your hard drive.

  • do you need anti virus program to use windows on mac?

  • @catha86 It is a good idea to install one within your Windows virtual machine.

  • It's pretty obvious you been paid to type this.

  • Wake up mate. VMware Fusion has the Unity mode for that. And the VMware virtualization layer is far better than anything else on the market.

  • the better option would be to run mac in a vm on a windows machine, then it wouldnt lag from the mac's shitty spec's

  • never really tused this software but it looks awesome, i use windows on my mac mostly for games and ive heard vmware doesn't work too well with that, but i can see how it can be really handy with apps, might have to give it a try :)

  • are games the only things that run horribly on vmware?

  • Or just use virtualbox it's free... I have a HP, and a DELL running Linux Mint, and inside Linux I run Windows 7 in virtualbox, vmWare, or Parallels Desktop for Linux ... So why do I need a Mac... Linux Mint is free stable and secure, or is free PC-BSD stable and secure... I get to keep my PC dual-booted with Linux, and Windows 7, and I saved money with out buying a Mac.
