Saw/heard Mingus at the time that album was released. I agree both are standout collaborations. Ravi Shankar did several collaborations like this and I'm glad I have them on vinyl!

what a great song from two men that I respect on their own, just like when I heard Joni Mitchell play's Mingus music. Don't think that's a mistake...It's a good take.

Okay, all the negative comments about tabla v. 'wrong drum' and other corrections/criticisms have just ruptured the little cocoon of zen-mellow atmosphere I was trying to carve out for myself. Enough already. LET IT GO... ;^)
