I LOVE this as an idea - wish I'd had it (at age 60!) - just one important thing missing: I really wish I'd know how LOUD it was going to be, and the horrible banging - do you have anything to help a kid (or adult) get ready for THAT? It would be great! #firstMRI

Does the dye used for the test come in a vial?

well fuck they only gave me little plugs and didnt work and she get a headphone music -_-

OK. Sometimes they will give you a headset.

Why do they give contrast with an IV?

It had the taste of iodine. Does that go away?

@lifesaver173 Well, I think it would be nice if we all can get a test just to see what out brain looks like. But what would be the medical reasons for Daniel to get another test? There is no cure for CP.

@walkingdan I think you should do the test.
If you ant bring anything metal in how did they film this

@zedleppelin99 The MRI machine was not turned on during the filming of this video. However, you are correct that one cannot wear anything metal while having an MRI.

My son Daniel had MRI when he was at 5 months and found he had underdevelopment of his brian. At 17, he had been doing great with excellent health, should he get another MRI to see if there are any changing in his brain development,

@walkingdan We recommend that you talk with your son's physician about whether another MRI is appropriate.

@ChildrensHospitalStl I have actually aready discussed that a few years ago with couple different physicians. If he is doing better than what was expected then, what would be his medical justification for another MRI.

@walkingdan Your physician is best qualified to determine whether or not there is medical justification for another MRI. If you would like a second opinion, you can call our referral line at 800-678-KIDS (5437).
