The same exact thing happened to my two parakeets ); I know how you feel. Deuteronomy 31:6 6 Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the Lord thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee. I hope that helped. It definitely helped me :)

I am so sorry to hear that. I actually had a similar experience just 3 days ago. My pet Milky Way, was outside of his cage when my poodle grabbed him and chewed him. His mate on the other hand is safe. However, he was not as lucky, my dog got to him I couldn't pry the mouth open in time... he was gone. I miss him so much, life isn't the same without him. He was my most loyal pet, he's irreplaceable. Can you help me get through my sorrow? Again, my condolences.

my cockatiel rocky died thursday on thanksgiving...my dog ate him..
I thought I should let anyone who cares to know, know that Alex died on November 1, 2011. He and his wife had been in their cage outside for approximately a month, enjoying the cooler weather, when my Great Dane went off the deep end, knocked over their cage, and chewed them up. Alex, poor little guy, survived long enough for me to get home from work and hold him. His wife was nowhere to be found. The incident sickened me. Alex was my bird for 4 years. Best pet I ever had.

My bird Sammy has a wife and five kids! Such an experience raising those kids. But ever since he's been married he won't whistle anymore. Any ideas to get him to start singing Starwars again?

@SammyBirdTheGreat I have no clue! Alex also hasn't whistled or spoken to me since I bought him his "wife" Jenny. If you have any success getting Sammy to talk again, let me know!

I've been showing this to my 10 week old cockatiel and he's starting to sing back at it! He loves it.

He's not actually shy, he is trying to serenade you back into the room. My boy does it whenever he wants some attention....and because he has only learnt to wolf whistle in the last month or so he sounds like a crying puppy wanting to come inside. It's very cute :o)
P.S. Alex is very talented :o)
