a journalist asked years ago to Buddy Lackey about his opinion beetween PW and Dream theater.and his answer was:I dont have to say nothing about dream theater,Psychotic waltz just met on the road not in a music academy.........

@postrock I know what you mean. Even though DT and PW are both progressive metal bands, they play very different styles of music. In my opinion, most of the songs in the DT discography are full of emotions and present some very special vibes, in addition to the technical aspect of their music. No need to compare these two wonderful bands though, let's just enjoy the beautiful music they've given us. :)

@Niamorg1007 Noone wants to diss the technical prowess of DT...but one thing is being technical tout court..and another is melding it with such passionate, heartfelt, dramatic and unique vibe like PW did in the old days..

Lol at people dissing DT because they prefer PW....

Do you guys realize how amazing the musicians in Dream Theater are? Just listen to any solo by Petrucci, Rudess, any bassline by Myung, or drum fill by Portnoy... these men are mindblowing. And even though their singer is the weakest member of the band, and his voice isn't that great, he is still fucking awesome. And no offence to Pw fans by the way, this band is kickass... I'm going to see them next year with Nevermore, can't wait!
