No, God is not the answer. MEDICAL SCIENCE is the answer.

@vickylace19 so true. its not that thier stomach has an issue its the brain that does not work properly therefore no surgery will work.

Thank you for this video. My brother has PWS. He is 22 and at the moment living a very nomal happy life. He is gettin bigger day by day, and this scares me more than I can explain. I cant do anything for him, but your video has made me realise that there are more people out there that share this terrible disease.

I became introduced to this syndrome when I started working in special ed as a teacher aide. The young man I worked one on one with had it as well as severe mental impairments. Now that I am a teacher I work one on one with him from time to time. His family struggles to keep him safe n on a diet as well. It is very tough for him. I know this because I can see it in his eyes...he is nonverbal. I wish your son n family the best you have a very special young man..he is strong
gastric bypass.
Then, if they decide to start eating a lot, the sensation of their stomach about to rip apart will outweigh the sensation of being full.
tough love. their condition is out of anyone's control and to keep them alive and healthy despite the pain of being full is what matters. :|

I don't think you understand. Individuals with PWS NEVER feel full thus gastric bypass is never recommended for individuals with PWS. They will continue to eat dispite the pain that's how strong the sensation is for them to continue eating. The hypothalamus is deffective thus the signal of "fullness" from the stomach to the brain doesn't exist. The tough love comes in by not giving in to their demands for food and keeping them on a low fat low calorie diet. Thanks for your comment.
