Here's another from my previous channel (should be obvious because of the fro), updated with some cheesy video effects. In case you are wondering about the Super Shifter, I am using that pedal at the beginning to produce the harmonies that Kirk/James do. Also, I took a few liberties and embellished the chorus, and added a solo at the end.

When I first got Ride The Lightening back in 1985 (yeah, I'm an old fart), this was one of the songs that I would skip because I preferred the faster tunes. The good part about that is the song almost seemed fresh to me again when I went to learn it. Rock on... \m/

  • @cheapcape ...If you don't like Metallica, why were you even watching the video to begin with? LOL let me guess... you are either A) a miserable little boy who gets pushed around a lot (in that case, I would sincerely feel sorry for you), or B) a miserable troll that lives in his parent's basement and never gets laid.

  • man you never fail to impress me this is one the best covers i've heard of the song i was just wondering if you could do fade to black

  • @likinlips20000000000 hey thanks, I might do that one some day if I can find a nice backing track (I try not to use the original songs anymore)

  • @PDXguitarfreak ya i understand do you know if youtube made a deal with warner yet

  • @likinlips20000000000 it's been almost a year since they supposedly made a deal, but I know that as of just a few months ago, people were still having Warner related vids pulled... I am sorry I don't have the answer, but I wish I knew too.

  • great job Dave! I really liked the guitar solo you added at the end, the wah sounds smooth. But too bad your hair doesn't look like that anymore LMAO

  • Songs like this are like my dad's frankie valley records. Its our (40 yr old metal vets) version of beautiful n its our "oldies". The solos on ride the lightning n master are well orchestrated, have life, n r epic. Great choice. LOL at the overlay of the pitch shifter but thanks for showing us. Clever. Now i have to get one!

  • @PDXguitarfreak all right well i hope you find a good backing track and keep rocking
