My bike: 2003 Suzuki GSXR1000 (only mod is full exhaust, Yoshimura RS3) I was also running a full tank, and these are my first tries at drag racing.
Brandon: 2009 Honda CBR600RR, no mods.
Clip 1. Me vs. Brandon, I win at 11.36
Clip 2. Me vs. Hayabusa, I win at 11.08
Clip 3. Me vs. Hayabusa, I win at 11.01
Clip 4. Me vs Hayabusa, I win at 10.97
Clip 5. Brandon on my bike vs. CBR600, he wins at 10.67

Future mods for better times:
-Michelin 2CTs. (I kept slipping off the line with the factory Dunlop Q's, and slipped with every shift.
-Power Commander for a better sync between bike and Yoshi exhaust.
-Less fuel on the track, for better weight.

  • so thats y ur hating on me cuz all u have is a bike lol did ur dad buy it for u oh wait it probably isnt even urs lol

  • @THECASHKLICK13

Lol no the USMC bought this for me dude. I did 6 years in Iraq to buy this. I did work for mine.

  • i'm not a drag junky.... To prevent a wheelie in 1st and possibly 2nd, do you only do 1/2 - 3/4 throttle until 3rd? Do you redline 1st and 2nd?

  • @yourleftnut1

I use tension straps to pull down my front end, and even that still makes little wheelies. So, yes mostly I low throttle til about a half second after launch when I am stable. Also keeping your weight towards the front helps.

  • What kind of 60ft times are you guys cuttin? You should be running mid 9s with those bikes. My 08 600rr cuts 1.4 60s 6.3 1/8s and 10 flat 1/4s on a little 30 shot of spray. Which means your still making more power than me.

At which elevation? We are at 6,200 feet here (more than a mile) in an arid desert. It's dry, hot and less dense. The fastest regular octane vehicle I have seen here plugged in a 10.7. A 1972 Chevelle. It takes alcohol to get anything lower. Modded WRX TSi, with a decent driver, got a 14.2. It's rough up here.

The elevation were at also kills ALOT of the bikes HP because it's such a high compression, small engine. But, it's a new season. Maybe things will change!

  • Lol I was gonna say that bike is no where near tact. The 2nd rider opened it up a lil better I have an 03 gsxr 1000 heads exhaust and intake and i steadly run 9.9s. That also comes with experience ull get there man.

  • @ggiizzmmo

Before the drag year was over I put the PowerCommander in, put in Ivan's TRE, new Michelin tires, and did the PAIR valve mod to the bike (i can explain how it's done). Now I get 10.6's myself and I weigh 190. Also this is at 6,300 ft elevation and 80 degree weather. Hopefully I can go somewhere low and colder next year to check my sea level times. I hear I should get 9's.

  • ya u were gettin better good stuff, 10.9 is impressice, 10.6 more so, i have same bike with few more rides 130lbs, and been racing drag for yrs , hopefully i hit 10s, so much fun u mite do better with that tune in with the yosh, power commander if u care that much
