To move beyond our history, we must look honestly at our past. This video shares the thoughts of one woman who visited the "Big Hole National Battlefield" in Montana. This is where, in 1877, the US Army massacred many Nez Perce, during the US mission to move all remaining Native Americans to "reservations". Many Americans are uncomfortable about this history, yet, it is the way "America" has come to exist. However, this is not just about the past. America still has ideas and plans about "expansion" and "manifest destiny". One woman's feelings in one sad place. All images are from the official "Big Hole" guide offered by the National Park Service.
