@jaredc621 He only ran one race in 1992, the last one at Atlanta. He was still considered a Rookie in 1993. He won the Rookie of the Year title. At the time I believe you had to run more than 7 races in a year to give up rookie status for the following year. Many drivers going into cup would run 5 or 6 races and still be eligible for the Rookie of the Year the following year.

he tore up a lot of stuff, NASCAR was very new to Jeff at the time, he didn't know as much as far as the cars went then. He was in some ways raw. Once he got it down the light finally came on.
