Had to re-upload this one, as the sound was somehow corrupted in the first attempt. This is a 2008 Chuck Lee 11-inch Cottonwood, having a Dobson-style tone ring (clearly visible through the head). To my ear, this tone ring is particularly strong in the midrange. The tune is usually played in D, but I didn't bother to capo, so I'm playing in C, tuned gCGCD.

  • I just LOVE all your vids, Zepp. I've been wanting to hear this one, 'cuz I wasn't sure of the timing. Thanks. It was wonderful.

  • @d2majzoub Thanks! I left out a little triplet thing I was working on for the B part seven years ago. If you go to my zeppmusic website and follow the links to my MP3s, you'll hear it the first time through the B part. I didn't do it on the video, because I um... er... well... I haven't practiced it in seven years and couldn't do it smoothly... *blush* Thanks again for the kind words.

  • How many banjos did Chuck make for you? Anyways great playing!

  • @thermonater Thanks! I've had a lot of Chuck's banjos through the shop, but this one is a used, 2008 model. Really like new, and a great banjo.
