Today , I was asked to drive the pair of brown horses in front of the town coach and follow the hearse for a funeral .
Both carriages are about 120 years old.
The special blankets for the horses are still original "period" ones.

  • Absolutely beautiful carriages and horses. The livery on the horses pulling the hearse is fantastic! what an honour to be involved in such a moving ritual. When I leave this world, that's how I want to travel to the cemetary. Thanks for sharing! :)

  • Ooooo I just love the carriages, just takes you back when that was common practice. Wow.

  • the black hearse is sick so evil looking with the horses with there robe thingys sick!

  • That lighter bay is just gorgeous! Unfortunate circumstances but both carriages are just beautiful. That's how I would want it done but we don't have things like that in the US.

  • Amazing. How did you end up in such an awkward situation? If you don't mind me asking, what do you do for a living? I am a horse lover/rider and am always curious as to how people manage to afford to have horses...they are so expensive to maintain.
