Doctor Syn in RH&DR overhaul workshop, New Romney, on 15 January 2010. The motion and wheels all re-painted, re-furbished and replaced into the frames. Here seen being tested on air for one of the very first times. Seen in shot, Kim Richardson, Mark Lane (operating the lifting link), Jim Rawlings (grey fleece and assisted in works) and Martin Blackwell - who has led and done most of the overhaul work. The piston valves are yet to be set correctly. The re-furbished boiler can be seen in the background.
beautiful enginering....

Wow Syn is looking fab, certainly sounds like Syn, i cant wait for her return to service, last time i rode behind her was in 1999 and last saw her in steam in 2007, cant wait to hear the A4 chime blasting across the marsh.
