Dispelling the propaganda: Myth 4: Union soldiery was superior to Confederate soldiery

This is the 4th video in my "Dipelling the propaganda" series.
This time I debunk the claim by union supporters that the quality of union soldiers was superior to that of Confederate soldiers. With only a little research into the battles of the war, it's easy to see that despite being outgunned, outnumbered and being at several disadvantages to the union, the Confederacy overcame overwhelming odds and defeated the union forces over and over again through the war. Until they were overwhelmed by sheer numbers in the last year of the war. But still, the old saying is very true..."It takes ten blue coats to equal 1 Rebel!"

They may have won many battles but not the war thats why the usa is as one again and we no longer have slaves so it really doesnt matter how many union soldiers die.thats not how a war is won war is won by achiving the final goal and the goal is what you see now,

We never fought to protect slavery, if you believe that then you should do some reasearch of your own many things are not as they seem.

And if you honestly think that the U.S is one again and there is no riff between the Southern people and the union then you have been blinded by propaganda.

well yeah thats one of the main reason why the union lost so many soldiers because they didnt care to die for slaves.and yeah the south has always dislike the north because the north treats people the same no matter what your race is but the south has always dislike equality.well not all of them but most.

If you honestly think that blacks were treated equally in the post war north then you are really mistaken. Any credible historian will admit that blacks were treated like some sort of alien people when they began coming to the northern states. Whereas we Southrons had been living together with black folks for many decades, the north had a very low black population.

BOTH sides had brainwashed goons, come one, how do you give up your life in so many open field battles, because you are too stupid to duck behind a tree line that is only 100 or so yards away ?? They were using outdated Napoleonic war tactics. Hell, even Gen. Lee punked out and would not fight guerilla style at the end when SO many wanted him too. Due to the inaccuracy of the muskets back then the open fileds was a very effective way of fighting. Learn a little about the tactics of war before you comment on it.

For that matter learn a little about history before you comment on it.

And also, be willing to have your preconcieved notions challenged.

armies Davis, Lee, Jackson as well as the majority of the non slave holding south 94% were anti slavery. The world was changing slavery in America like every other nation was at it's end. The north should have worked with us to peacefully end the institution not condemn, slander, ridicule and defame the south for doing something the north had done too and which was only abolished in the north for white labor (out of john adams own mouth) and was abolished peacefully. @circlecityrabbit2004 The smoothbore musket wasn't in use by the time the war started. The rifled musket was being used, and it was much more accurate with longer range. By the end of the war, tactics completely changed.

@circlecityrabbit2004 Before the war, New England allowed its black people to vote. Of course, the black population in New England was miniscule, so it didn't really have an effect. I'm not saying that northerners treated blacks equally, but they did allow them to vote.

A lot of interesting and compelling view points here. Here's the bottom line - until we get every American male re-conditioned into holding the southern battle flag near to breast, we will always be slaves to international bankers, fifth columnists and communists who are passing themselves off as journalists, politicians and big-mouths. @bucklee34 Different branches of my family come from the Isle of Man, England, Ireland, and possibly Germany. And, oh, I have some Cherokee in me too. It's not your ancestry that should determine how you are treated but your humanity. America is now not a country that is the sole property of a single ethnic or racial group. America is about liberty and justice for ALL, regardless of these things. America belongs to its citizens no matter how white, black, or brown they are or ever become.
