Coincidentally, 'daboudzi', that was from the same studio who brought forth "JEANNIE" (Screen Gems/Columbia). I believe Kelly Ripa wore a similar costume- as Sally Field's "Sister Bertrille"- at the beginning of a "TV LAND AWARDS" telecast several years back...

fromthesidelines, I totally agree, but there is another actress that can... Lynda Carter. Everytime I hear the words "Wonder Woman" I automatically think of Lynda Carter. So do many others.

When veteran costume designer Gwen Wakeling created "that outfit" for Barbara Eden to wear as "Jeannie" (even with Joie Hutchinson's later "embellishments"), I don't think even she realized what an icon she created. Whenever you think "genie", you automatically think of Barbara. Whenever you see THAT costume, you KNOW who it's supposed to be....can any other sitcom, character or actress make that kind of impact?
