  • Dear friend do you know when the 1.0 OS should be released? the latest available is the .97L?

I ask because I been thinking to buy one Spectralis but I dont know if wait for the 1.0 be released, I found too many piss users on forums related to the delay of the upgrades, so that make me doubt.

  • Since three years , all Spectralis users waiting the 1.0 version of the OS, every period there a new delay, I've sold the Spectralis because it's a shame, I think that the first final OS never be released, avoid to buy a Spectralis

  • Dear friend, thank you for your reply but I have another question, is something out there like the spectralis? for home studio.

  • No others Like the Spectralis, all in one in a compact size, but if you use Elektron Machinedrum and Monomachine, you have a very good sound and stable system

  • Thank you for you answer dude, I will start to save some money, is very impressive machine and German technology.

    Terrific.

  • The Spectralis is very good instruments but now lack of a final OS, the actual release is 0.97 I have sold for this reason.

  • Genoqs are sequencers - by far the best in the world, damn expensive but hey i will buy a nemo one day - a lot better than spectralis

  • They both came out in 1996. I don't know which came first. Roland certainly coined the phrase 'groovebox'.

  • I was told this weekend that the GenoQ's Octopus sequencer ($3,600.00) has no on-board sounds stored in it. Is this true? I thought it was a stand-alone unit too. I bought the Spectralis just because the sounds coming out of it were more impressive than what I had heard from all the Octopus demos, and it cost half as much. Three grand is like a new set of teeth you know.

  • That was 1982 wasn't it? I guess that the MC stuff would have counted, yes. It's just that the Quasimida has five individual modules on it that allow you adjust every function on the fly. I forgot about that DCB port on the Juno 60, but yeah-the MC boxes used to hook up to them through that weird port. Kenton makes a translator MIDI box for that stuff now.

  • Really? I thought Roland pioneered the groovebox with their MC series, I have an MC-808, its great, but if I had the money, I'd get a Spectralis Version 2, but it is retailing for $2,600.

  • The Quasimidi Raveolution was the first "groovebox" and it was, once again, German made. This thing is amazing though - I am waiting on version II which should be released in March 2009 some time.

  • it's a mouthharp

  • german technology? groovebox was first made by roland and USA invented analog synths...so how is that 'german' technology? even the DSP chips inside this are american, lol! but this is great innovative product that copies american/japanese technologies and innovates on its own...thumbs up to radikal technologies for that!

  • Thank you for you answer kind friend, I heard some rumors about Spectralis II but I dont know if is true.
