At West Philadelphia's VIX Emporium, jewelry artist Kim Fraczek blows glass into a beautiful bubble and captures a small coin inside, creating a lovely necklace for a little girl. She was the featured artist at the shop's latest Second Saturday art/craft event, where she made custom glass jewelry for visitors. Other items captured in glass that day included a fossil, Swarovski crystals and an olive pit.
So cool, Kim! Love seeing you work!!

True, true, a tape line will do for my next event in Brooklyn on 7 November.
I don't mind sitting on the heater. I'm a camper.
This little girl in this video was such a pleasure to make something for.

as much as i'd like to see a glass window
between you and your crowd, i must admit
that a line on the floor is quite sufficient...
whoever crosses that line - that's their problem.
is that th heating you're sitting on?
i hope you remembered to bring your cushion...
BTW i did something like that with coins,
but used cheap test-tubes, it's easy and fast. uses less oxygen, and since it's thin-
it requires no anealing. :-)

Hey Catman... Your 100% right. Thanks for the sobriety. I actually forgot to bring my fireproof board I usually work on. Good on you for thinking about everyone's safety. Luckily, I had a really great crowd and very responsible parents keeping their kids hands off.
