"Rich's Incredible Pyro" once again doing what they do best. The final blast (Nicknamed "Big Bertha") was made up of 450 litres of unleaded fuel and various quantities of detonation chord and high explosives. It will look different to what most people saw as we are on the other side of the runway.
@Pyrotech56 HaHa better than you think! This show was filmed by my daughter.
I was actually down on the fire ground about 50 metres from the big one! :=)

@what37fisa There was a fire, as can be expected with a blast that big, CFA stopped any fires going through the fence, I was on a "Gator" next to the bang with a slip-on fire pump and helped Rich's guys to pull it under control. In the past we've fired just after the flyover, this year we were 100 metres closer and hard up against the runway. The delay was only because due to the possibillity of debris landing on the runway, we had to wait for the Hornet to land before we started the fireworks.

I was there and I thought one of the blasts that night started a grass fire some where so they paused the show & i thought i saw the fire truck move in to extinguish it. Do u know if that actually happened?
