Chris Yeager photo archive - In the early 90's, The Old Vienna Coffeehouse in Westborough, Massachusetts attracted accomplished singer-songwriters from New England and across the US. (It was named after the German cuisine restaurant downstairs.) The Thursday night open mike was more often than not a pro workshop and master class in songwriting and performance. Current touring artists like Peter Mulvey, Dar Williams, Martin Sexton and Kris Delmhorst brought their material to the OVK to rehearse.

This collection was shot from the spring to the fall of 1993. I made the color snapshots on a cheap point and shoot, and I shot the black and whites on 35 mm film, which I processed and printed. There are more pictures, and more "who's that" information on my flickr site - http://www.flickr.com/photos/chris_pix/collections/72157614869003905/

  • Chris, thanks for making and sharing this. So many amazing emotions! 2 days ago, I asked myself "what ever happened to Diana Kirk?" So I looked her up on facebook and made a friend request. Yesterday, she accepted it. Today, Rick Tarquinio posts a link to this video, where Diana and I are in a photo together. Synchronicity!

  • been stuck in central MA since this video -- thanks to any artists who have ventured back here. Miss this place and TCAN fills the void a bit. Stuck here though.

  • Fun times :)
