@rsaturnoserrada You are absolutely correct, Master Ron. In any martial art - it's not the number of techniques that one knows. It's the execution of basic techniques that matter. Manny Pacquiao uses the same basic punches as any boxer, but it is his ATTRIBUTES - speed, timing, power, conditioning etc. that allow him to deliver his punches more effectively. Even Olympic-level judo players lose by basic techniques that beginners learn - basic footsweeps, throws, etc.

I forgot to mention Lee that your explanation was excellent.! The secret in Serrada is basics and lock and block. I will try to demo some lock and block soon to compliment you. By the way... Dizon was a very large man who of course hit very hard. Angel Cabales was very combative but because of age became smarter with time and began finessing his movements. Simple well timed moves in life and death is a very good way to bet your life. Under adrenaline manual dexterity deminishes, simple works.

I think people think: Can it be this simple? Yes. Most systems were three and five number systems. Serrada is a multiple number system and may be an urban fighting system or it is said a compilation of secretive club training. This secretive training is via oral history. Serrada is a very old system nevertheless. Regardless...simple works. Perfectly executed basics is very hard to beat. Because under pressure tried and true methods are more executable in life and death situations.
