  • bella voce...molto credibile.

  • This is one marvelous contertenor. He hs sung several times in San Diego where I live. I hope that he returns here. He sang a very fie Ptolemy here a few years ago.

  • Waht a beautiful version of Chiudetevi miei lumi. I've heard Asawa live several times and have always thought him to be one of the best countertenors around.

  • @philomelodia Brian Asawa sings in a "silky" head-voice, even though it is theoretically categorized as falsetto by many. However there are many countertenors who have low speaking voices but sing in their real modal voices and have this as their natural passaggio-voice tone, including Philip Jerousky

  • Correction, David Daniels not Eric. Another great falsetist countertenor is Derek Ragin. All ov these men speak in about a low tenor to baritone range and sing in an alto range. Some, like Philip Jerousky, Aris Christophelis, and Angelo Manzotti speak that low but can sing in soprano when they use their falseto voice. All the men I've named are represented on youtube except for Nick Clapton. I recommend you check them out. They do beautiful work. :)

  • He uses his falsetto voice to get to those notes. No way a man with a speaking voice that deep uses the center ov his vocal chords to produce that sound. He is not an endocrinological castrato like Paulo Abel Do Nascimento nor is he an altino like Oberlin both of whom had high speaking voices and had this as their natural range. This guy is a falseto-using countertenor like Andreas Scholl and Nicholas Clapton and Eric Daniels.

  • Not falsetto......He's a countertenor.... nice.

  • A very silky falsetto. Congratulations. Beautiful voice.

  • Maravilhoso!!!

Belissima voz e uma grande interpretação!

    Parabens!

  • Finalmente trovo un pezzo Barocco di Brian Asawa dopo il Giulio Cesare, e le cantate di Scarlatti. Bravo!
