Machine gun pumpkin shoot

On Nov 7th 2009, about 80 people gathered in Lapeer MI to socialize, eat pizza and shoot guns. Machine guns more specifically. Though not all of us had them, those that did often let others try them out. I myself shot a full auto 12 ga shotgun, a full auto Glock handgun, a silenced 22 pistol, as well as several other non-full auto firearms, including a 50 BMG bolt action single shot.
A good time was had by all. A special thanks to Tom Cole from Cadiz Gun Works for bringing up some NFA firearms from OH, as well as Sheridan Arms from Saginaw, MI that brought everything from M-16s, Uzis, Steyr AUGs, MP5s, Browning belt feds on tripods and many other firearms. Of special note was a 255mm bowling ball mortar. Very cool stuff.

The majority of the folks shooting were there to have fun and let those of us with little or no experience with machine guns have a try. I agree that full auto is a very limited application that wastes more ammo than it needs to. It sure is fun though.

Heh heh, something similar goes on here at a big full auto gun store/firing range, Dragon Mans, everything up to M2 .50 cals, you can shoot sticks of dynamite on the range, he's got a jeep fitted with .50's he drives around the range blowing everything away, all on July 4th. Its a cool show! And for $100 you can shoot whatever you feel like.

Man, I live not far from Lapeer and would love to attend that with all those cool folks!

My AK-47 isn't full auto, but I'd like to drop in anyway. Firing weapons, eating pizza, and BS'ing with people sounds great!
