Desert storm accutually saved the a-10s from being retired. The Airforce wanted to scape in but the A-10 proved itself so capable and reliable that it was impossible to get rid of it after the war. I wish Marine air had A-10s to support marine ground troops.

Hell, the A-10 is the bastard child of the Air Force, they'd rather have the sleek looking fast stuff. The Army is rumored to be wishing to be the ones flying the A-10. I think the Army should get the Warthog, the Air Force gets the fast stuff and everyone is happy. Oh, and build some more A-10s, they seem to be so damn handy in war, dammit.

@111olbap create your own then. yes it is a CAS aircraft. but what do you call an airplane that carries bombs? Bomber right? A-10s carries bombs therefore it can also be called a bomber. secondly, yes it is the A-10 thunderbolt II it was said on the first part of the vid. "officially known as the Thunderbolt II" but it is also has nicknames such as the warthog and The Tankbuster. just stfu and watch peacefully.

Firstly, it is a strike aircraft. It is a close ground support strike aircraft. It is NOT a bomber. Secondly, it is the A 10 Thunderbolt II, not the A 10 tankbuster. Very unprofessionally narrated documentary.
