I like your video... hope you are well.

some speak both, some speak Uyghur only. depands on what kind of education they had.
-
Wow!
-
I miss my hometown! i used to slide down the icy driveway too!
-
Urumqi winters: the sky turns black during the day as dust falls from the clouds. But I still miss it. Anyone here went to number 1 middle school?
-
Most Uyghers can speak mandarin and their own language, which is based on the arabian alphabet and has parts of the Turkish language.
-
I know this might be a stupid question :P but do they speak mandarin? Or are they're language closer to the Turks?
-
Urumuqi's winter is dreadful, unless you
are a kid, like these kids, skidding on
their butts and enjoying the collision :-)
Good video !

Thanks for the reply. I should have recognized this area then. I used to around Er Yi Yuan, near Wu Xiao. I guess so much have changed since I have left.
On the interesting thought though, how did you end up living in Urumuqi. Not many Americans know where the city even is.
my home town.
Miss it so much.
What part of urumuqi is this? Can't seem to recognize it
