IIDA Houston City Center presented the Second Annual Product Runway benefiting the Furniture Bank of Houston. A play off of the hit reality television series Project Runway, this national event challenged the creative minds of Interior Designers to create fabulous couture garments from the products they use in their everyday projects. Carpet, upholstery, acrylic, vinyl flooring, signage, tile and plastic laminate looked just as good on the runway as they do in your office!
Over a hundred volunteers came together to make this event happen, all in order to raise funds for the Houston Furniture Bank. The Furniture Bank is a non-profit organization dedicated to collecting and distributing furniture and home furnishings, free of charge, to families in need. IIDA is a professional networking and education association that works to enhance the quality of life through excellence in interior design. The Houston City Center had the honor of providing this opportunity to the design community and related industries to support the Furniture Bank and its worthy cause.
