1. This game, Super Mario Bros. 2, was not first released on the SNES in 1993, the SNES version was a re-release of the NES game, released in 1988, I believe.
2. The copyright date 1983 is referring to the sub-game Mario Bros, which was first released in 1983.

Super Mario Bros. 2 was originally released on the NES, but was re-released on the SNES on Super Mario All-Stars which had Super Mario Bros., Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels (Japanese: Super Mario Bros. 2), Super Mario Bros. 2 (Japanese: Super Mario USA), and Super Mario Bros. 3.
And the 1983 copyright is for Mario Bros. which was released that year in the arcade.
