Mad World American Sign Language Interpretation: The Sequel

For those that don't know sign language, here is the basic translation (lucky you, you don't get my stutters) of what I say in the beginning.

Hey everyone. I was looking on youtube and I noticed all of the comments you left on my Mad World Sign Language Interpretation. And, you know, I was thinking...that was filmed like six months ago. So, I really need to show you my current sign language skills. So, I decided to film my interpretation again. And, today, I am going to show you my American Sign Language interpretation of Mad World by Gary Jules. Thank you for watching. Thank you very much.

The name's Benson.

I am currently at the start of ASL 2. My ASL, however, is mainly from my Deaf friends. My high school houses the local deaf school. Lucky them, no residential school for them haha. So, basically, I hang out with them a lot and, literally, at least 90% of everything I know came from them.

While that makes me more "advanced", it also messes with me...I have become too slang haha. And, a lot of teenage signs are either informal or not age appropriate for things like tests and such. It's bittersweet. But mostly sweet.

Somewhat. My beginning/intro is more PSE Bad habits die hard and all that.

As for the actual song, however, it's fairly ASL. It fits with the music, but the signs go with concepts, not words. For example, I don't keep repeating "world crazy, world crazy."

It goes "world wrong" and "world that's gone off the path" and "world that's messed up" and all that.

So, yeah...the beginning is somewhat PSE and somewhat ASL. Maybe PAL? haha. But the actual interpretation, I hope, is more ASL

ahhh this is amazing! i think this was a great song to translate because a lot of the motions, signs, and your facial expressions really give it a deeper meaning, at least to me. =] kudos!
