Respectfully, I much prefer the Hendrix. I guess I just find this cheesier in places - personal taste. Nevertheless - there's something magical that happens with the bass guitar at 1:20-1:23 which adds awesome pace - love it... wish it were kept up longer.

Whoever disliked this needs to be totured brutally. This is a TUNE!!!!!!!!!!! To all Hendrix fans, I like the original... ish, but Brian TEARS IT UP!!!!!!!! Not to mention that his vocals are superbly awesome - a perfect battle of melodic sweet vocals and raging guitar; even on the slow riffs Red Special sounds like it's in a TEMPER!!!

I'd like to see some more artwork going with this song, as opposed to just pictures of Brian. It's nice if people see his "soul" from a picture, but usually it detracts from the message as everyone just skims over the surface. The original Jimi Hendrix song is very deep. Brian himself will only talk about the music he enjoys in it, and the effects he used.

Three things that have the ability to transform people into vulgar, raging, arrogant a-holes: Bad drivers. Alcohol. YouTube. Can anyone explain to me why people use the comment box on a JIMI HENDRIX tune to display for all the world to see just what complete jerks they are? Makes one wonder if they are a-holes all the time. Do they cuss-out people they don't know? Do they verbally or physically abuse their wives and kids? Do they have any friends at all? They must get their asses kicked daily.
