"Theodore Ziras Guitar Contest" WINNER!!!

Hi!

I am Antony Zampelis. This is the track with which I won the Theodore Ziras Guitar Contest! The song is titled "In vitro" and it is based on the backing track provided by TZ.

Listen carefully to the solo, where I play ~14 notes per second (roughly 210-220 bpm sixteenth notes)!

I used an OLP MM1 for recording, but on this video you also see a Les Paul Ultra II, a Roaring Kitty (Hello Kitty strat with EMG 85, Roland GK2 and a scalloped rosewood fretboard) and Ibanez RG7620 7-string. You can also catch a glimpse of my dog, Melina when the solo kicks in!

The guitar sound is all POD XT and sequencing was done in Apple GarageBand.

By the way, there was NO harmonizer used in this track. Each guitar harmony part was recorded separately.

I want to apologize for the quality of the video and the poor overdubbing, but If I sent a live video the sound quality would be much worse.

haha sweet i would realy like tabs to this song ... but im guessing you made it up but if you have tabs for it let me know .. would be grandly apreciated theodore ziras is a personal favorit guitarist and a great inspiration to my playing .. specialy alternate picking. great guitarist probably the best lefty along side hendrix

No I do not have a tab, but it shouldnt be hard to transcribe. I am just terribly busy right now. Maybe you can ask again in a couple of months?
