Ethan Stone Music Showcase produced at Leominster Access Television as part of their local musician special series featuring Ethan Stone. Produced with the co-operation of 15 West headed by Ron Brown and Ed Visco who produced The 15 West Concert series from The First Church Unitarian Universalist Church in Leominster. Songwriter / recording artist Ethan Stone hails from Athol, MA. A rocker at heart, he also bleeds traces of jazz, funk, soul, pop, acoustic, and other sounds. Stone claims Thelonius Monk, Jimmy Smith, Billy Joel, Beck, Tom Petty, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Radiohead, Peter Gabriel, Bob Dylan, Soulive and "millions of others" have molded the keyboardist/vocalist/guitarist into his enigmatic style. Though Stone often builds his songs around messages of humanitarianism, he also takes a poke at the status quo, often mixing uplifting musical textures with harsh, devastatingly honest lyrics of disillusionment. Ethan Stone has earned a reputation for putting on marathon, sweat-drenched rock concerts. He released his debut single, "Too Late" in January, 2006. With a full-length CD to come in 2007, Stone performs exclusively in venues where alcohol is not consumed. "My mission is simple, to make the world a better place through my music, in the largest degree possible. If I'm going to be selling something with my music, its not going to be alcohol. I've been there, done that, and want no part of it, ever again," says Stone. Since leaving the bar life behind for good in 2004, Ethan has worked hard to stimulate his craft and invest in his community. He has created and performed at countless alcohol-free benefit concerts and festivals. Ethan has also been the driving force behind Tool Town Live!, a series of concerts held in several small towns in central MA, benefitting the Public Library and other non-profit organizations.
