Back then people were used to simple music boxes and player piano's but the idea that a mere mechanical machine could accurately reproduce the voice and different musical instruments must have seemed like magic.

В этой частотной области (после 7000 Hz.) у вас должен быть очень тонкий и ровный спад. А у вас ровная а.ч.х. (амплитудная частотная характеристика) – такова не должно быть !

И ещё - посмотрите на анализатор спектра и вы увидите, что ваш современный корректор задирает высокие частоты выше 7000 Hz !

Ваша современная головка слишком чувствительна! Результат - слишком большой уровень шума при воспроизведении.

Конечно вы молодец ! Но Ваше видео не произвела на меня положительного
впечатления. Ваша система не доработана она ещё очень сырая.
Головке звукоснимателя не комфортно в тракте – это видно визуально и слышно по шуму.
Шум гуляет и он не ровный. Очень много шума снимает Ваша современная Hi- Fi головка.

If you referring to the background noise of the cylinder, I am using a linear pre-amplifier, not an RIAA.
The input was done directly into the DV-cam. For regular processing, I use a direct 24-bit input.

It was likely something of: "This thing is completely useless like these disc talking machines. You can't even record with it. Rejected!"
