Katy singing the National Anthem at "Fire and Ice", the Town & Country 4th of July Event in front of 3000+ people on June 23rd, 2007. The video starts just after she is introduced by the Mayor of Town & Country. I wanted to record him introducing her but he went from his speech to announcing her so fast I didn't hit RECORD in time.
This will probably be the audition tape we send to the Saint Louis Cardinals to do the National Anthem at the Busch Stadium. Good luck Katy!
UPDATE!!!
Katy has been approved to sing either God Bless America at the Saint Louis Cardinal's Baseball Game Labor Day Monday, September 3rd, 2007!!!!
Second Update...
We went to the Cardinal's Game, had upwards of 30 family members there... and they somehow double booked someone else to sing "God Bless America" and the guy flew in from Denver. Katy wasn't all that upset about it but her family was very mad as we had three people fly in from out of State. Not to mention Katy's Maid of Honor Melissa whom works with the Cardinal's in ticket sales and for Team Fredbird whom put a lot of work into getting us all of our tickets and organizing everything. Melissa was literally in tears when she had Katy walk to the entrance of the field only to find out about the mix-up.
Marty Hinden, the VP of the Cardinals promised to comp us 30 tickets for next year on a date that Katy can sing. I'll keep you all updated.
Update again...
It looks like they moved Katy sooner than expected and she will likely be singing "God Bless America" at the September 23rd, 2007 game. I won't post it as a certainty after the last two changes. I'll leave it at this until it's over and done with.

me singing national anthem
Beautiful young lady who does a very good job with the song. I don't think the crowd did her justice. All the crowd noise made me think they certainly disrespected her and our country's National Anthem. Way to go, Katy!

Thanks for the compliments for Katy! The crowd was fine with applause, you just can't hear them because of how far away they were. By the vid you cannot see, but the crowd was a good 100 ft away from the front of the stage. I recorded this from a much closer distance than the crowd. :)
