  • this band knocked me out when i was playing in baby garage bands in 1969. later, i played in countless bands just like motherlode. back in the supper club and show band days. shag haircuts and finding ways to rev up the leslie. those were the days.

  • Takes me back to the summer of '69. What a great song and fantastic Canadian group.

  • Another great Canadian band!!! And I'm from the US.

  • here is the entire ORIGINAL album ( not digitally remastered, but the ORIGINAL vinyl sound copy) on this channel.... themotherlodealbum1969 ......? check it? out and enjoy :)

  • Man, they are groovin'!! I recently stumbled upon the album version of this song and I loved it!! Then I checked out this live performance and it makes me so happy and proud that just about everyone can appreciate a soulful sound. I see this vid was posted in 2008, but I'm still glad that those guys were still out doing their thing!! Thanks Motherlode for some great music!!!

  • Wow! They still sound the same!

  • It's hard to tell whether I'm more impressed by how good they sound or that they're still together, either way I'm elated!

  • Yes... I am a somewhat "soul music historian," and this is definitely one

of the finest SOUL songs ever... One-hit-wonder that it was. I had been

looking for this for years... decades. I turned 13 the year this song was

released. I thought for sure it was a group along the lines of those that

evolved from the 1960s to the 1970s such as Olympics, the Mad

Lads, the Manhattans, the Dells, the Spinners, the O'Jays, the Intruders,

the Originals, and all of them.... Surprise! ~ò,,ó~

  • I saw Lighthouse in kitchener a month ago and was so impressed that they brought in Steve Kennedy. What a great addition! Our Canadian talent rocks!! What a great show.!!Put more of this music on the Canadian airways you dickheads!!
