Its a shame marriage has been made to be a joke... but i guess it comes down to what u believe in, as a person has religious views, marriage was a concept of God for the joining of a man and a woman on a spiritual level. its unfortunate now that people have moved away from the orignial meaning with all this bullshit that has made the concept so unbearable.

I want to get married, but not just for the fairtytale wedding or the "proof" of love and commitment. You can promise to love and commit to each other without the ceremony and paperwork. Call me old-fashioned, but I believe marriage is for having a family. When I have kids, I want their father to be my "husband", not just my "boyfriend". I'm not saying that being unmarried makes you any less of a parent, but personally, I want my kids to look at their parents and see a husband and wife.
