Hijab - Symbol of liberation or instrument of cruel oppression? You decide. Here is what one of the women in the debate had to say about it:
"The hijab of our times - which is prevalent in Egypt, does not just erase the girl's mind, but also her humanity. It erases the humanity of the girl by viewing her as merely 'awra" (parts of the body that must remain covered), and the cause of all disasters and calamities."
Fucking religion and fucking pedophile mohammed piece of shit....I wouldn't accept this cult called Islam if I where in charge of my country.

@AnaPNCMaryam Yeah, in other words women have to pay because you a make everybody believe that all men are sexual predators.

@AnaPNCMaryam The fact that you "converted" proves one thing ...you never valued your freedoms to begin with, if giving them up was so easy!
If you dodn't value your freedoms -- You obviously do not have the sensibility to "feel restricted" either! Sad, really! >8-/

I converted less than a year ago and from the day I said the Shahada I have never not worn an hijab while not at home, and I often wear a niqab as well. I don't feel that either are limiting me of making me feel restricted in any way... I used to be sexually harassed by men all the time, now that rarely happens. I've been looking up different ways of styling an hijab online and there are so many interesting and beautiful ways to wear it.

I'm not saying that I believe she should be killed for her points that the niqab is not mentioned in the Quran, but she seems to be anti-niqab, when the niqab is just an option for women who's Iman is strong enough that they want to take that extra step and display even more modesty than what is legally required (by the laws of Allah) for them to take.

Its total lies and brainwashing that the hijab restricts a woman's freedom/human rights, makes her less important etc, rather in Islam a woman is regarded similarly to a precious jewel that you would want to wrap up and not show to everyone who happens to walk by, because she is only for her husband and close family to see. In response to what Su'ad Saleh said about the niqab having nothing to do with Islam. While the Quran doesn't command the it, it does help add modesty so it benefits Islam.

I hate the metaphors that many Sheikhs use, many are just perverted, Allah has allowed us to chose between Hell and heaven, why shouldn't we get a choice about our choice of attire . Women should be free to wear or remove hijab, and men should learn to respect them either way, after all this is the middle east and even the women that don't wear the hijab are modest

Is this old Egyptian women going to argue with God in the day of judgment about the Hijab?
Or she simply does not believe in either of them.
