  • Indmar says if you are running the ZERO OFF on a 2008 MCX, then the fix is to add a simple resistor to simulate the appropriate sensor signal. I was so stoked to turn the key without the error, and drop the throttle up to a smooth 45MPH.

  • This boat has over 1,000 hours on it and has been amazing for us. It is a 2008 Prostar 197 with an Indmar 5.7L MCX and also ZERO OFF speed control. The first sign of a problem was the warning tone from the dash, with a "CHCK ENG" text on the dash. The boat then went into reduced power mode and would run a max of 3,000 RPM, and a bit rough. We tried a Indmar firmware fix via laptop from the local dealer, but found out that the fix only works for non ZERO OFF engines.
