September 6, 1997, much of the nation viewed the cortège and funeral service for Princess Diana. It was my first such experience with viewing an event such as a funeral service for nearly 24 hours of complete news coverage, preempting all regular television programming.
I was 18 now 33, I watched this in Detroit metro airport.

Was that doves being released @ 2:26? Just after watching this my husband received a call that his father had just passed at the age of 94. Whenever we think of that day we always think about Diana as well. Can't believe it's been 14 years!

As this was happening my brother in law was in his few moments of his life, little did we know but a tragic accident was to take him from us as Diana's coffin was placed into the Hearse. R.I.P.
