First time in her adult life? Do you realize what are trying to emphasize? Can she not just appreciate that she lives in a great country, the USA. And these opportunistic couple can only appreciate when their country had done something great for them. "Ask not what your country can do for you..". By just being born in America and that there is Affirmative Action, she should be even at pre-adult life appreciate everything and be proud to be an American. Only 4 years ago she started to like being an American. If Michelle Obama is say 40 years old, starting at the age of 12, she must have lived through constant pain of hating to be an American. So for several years, finding herself sitting in the church of Rev Wright is like being in a company of sympathetic friends, all damning America and its non-clack population.
