Autofocus in Movie Mode on the Canon 5D Mark II

A clip illustrating how "auto focus" is possible on the 5D Mark II in movie mode.

Some people are not aware that the "Live Mode" style of auto focus used in Live View can be used while shooting video on the 5D MK II. While this is less than ideal because of noise and change in the shot exposure, it is a way to have the camera verify that the shot is in focus.

I don't like to use this style of focus, but it may be useful to some of you debating on using this camera for video.

Well, you can always increase your DOF and reduce the amount of hunting you'll have to do. I think people try to get the shallow DOF more often than they should. Stil, the quality meets my expectations for sure.
