Why you can't buy a geared hub motor for 200 dollars, a 48 volt 40 amp hour lifepo4 battery set and charger for 500 dollars, and build a cheap velomobile around a bicycle frame for about 1500 for a combined cost of 2200 dollars that will get you to work and back virtually forever, virtually free of cost. GOVERNMENT INTERVENTION ON BEHALF OF STANDARD OIL. The law limits these to 20 mph and fat ass Americans in SUV's just hate to share the road will not support change.

I like this

if limited to 45km/h it's not really significantly faster than bicycles and the shell and a seatbelt would certainly offset that speed difference. and there are people biking 45km/h. I do 30km/h leisurely.
it's probably more dangerous that it's so low to the ground. if we make all the idiotic SUVs illegal that would help some though.

no, bicycles are slower, the risk of death is lower in an accident.

....? um...how. im stumped as to how it would be "all over." youre more safe in this than on a bike. youre in a shell....
-
Velomobiles have shells! A plus, and they are soo unusual looking that I think you would see it!
-
no, not like a bicycle, it's much slower and therefore safer.
I think you took accident to mean "get hit by a car".
-
you mean like a bicycle..

they'd have a lawsuit, and you'd be dead.
the future has been there for so long. it's the people who are too blind and shallow.

Welcome to the world of the speedy velomobiles. I used to have a Quest and a Waw. Now only own the Quest. Vertasile was too expensive for me. But I had a change to make a small ride in it. Was fun. Those sidesticks are no trouble at all to steer. It is a truely well designed bike. I bet you are proud to have it.
Keep that brain spawning wings or wheels,
