I think that the answer is that: When he says he is 20 feet from the cave he is actually 20 feet BELOW it meaning the rope was too long so that means when he said climb up to the cave that means that you have to climb up the rope
-
Why dotn u untie the rope and then put it on the tree branch those writers need to think about stuff like that so technically i just solved it what now?!?!

NO ONE SAID YOU WALKED UP THE MOUNTAIN YOU IMBASOULTS

rip off the rope and use the piece that tore off to get back down. then you drive to a bar, get so drunk you cant remember your first name and pass out. when you wake up in a hospital try making up some excuse to make yourself seam like less of a dumbass
-
go to the truck make a hook trow it into de cave and climb up cause the pickup is 20 feet from the cave and your rope has 60 feet! DUH

Cool... but you guys never told us you walked up to the top of the mountain... the story immediatly begins with him at the top. I didn't know there was a trail that leads to the floor to the moutaintop. Am I missing something?

You're on the top and your truck is at the bottom so that lets you know that there is a way inbetween.
