Clover walked up slowly to Jason. He was sitting on a log just staring into space.

"Um...Jason?" He quickly turned around.

"Hey...hey Clover."

"Do you mind if I sit?" she asked hesitantly.

"No." he said automatically and moved over for her. They both sat for a couple minutes quietly until Jason said,

"You know Clover? You dont have to avoid me like that.Ill understand if you're not interested."

"No Jason! I'm..I'm sorry." she started. "I didn't mean for it to come out like that. It just...happened out of no where."

"It's fine." Jason chuckled. "I'm kind of a rusher. That's probably why most of my relationships don't work... besides the fact that most of the girls think I'm an airhead."

Clover looked away and winced at the word. When she looked back at him, she saw him looking down picking at a twig.

"So you've had love at first sight before?" she asked. He chuckled and said,

"Yea...twice. Didn't go so good either times....they both said I was too clueless and liked weird stuff."

"Weird stuff?" she asked.

"Yea...like you know that book called The Exotic..." his voice trailed off. "You probably wouldn't know it...never mind."

"No!" Clover replied excited."The Exotic Rhinestones of the World?"

"Yea!" Jason said with the same tone.

"I love that book!" Clover replied happily. "Everyone thinks I'm a weirdo but the rocks in there are amazing."

"Arent they?" Jason replied. "You remember that green shiny rock that was found in Germany?"

"Yea!" Clover replied. "But my favorite was the pink one from Iceland."

They continued talking about a subject that, they would probably be the only two to ever talk aboutbut as the saying goes, expect the unexpected.
